Each summer, the Laboratory for Analytic Sciences (LAS) kicks off the annual planning cycle by releasing a call for white papers. Academic and industry researchers are invited to submit one or more white papers detailing a proposed research project to be funded the following year. The call for white papers provides examples of research areas of interest for LAS. It is derived from a careful consideration of mission needs based on discussions with intelligence community partners as well as the current expertise and interests of LAS staff.
