Bio

As the deputy director of the Laboratory for Analytic Sciences (LAS), Courtney Sheldon works with government, academic, and industry partners to research and implement solutions to the intelligence community’s strategic analysis challenges. Sheldon represents the National Security Agency and oversees the daily government operation of LAS including internal processes, business administration, personnel management, recruitment and hiring processes, and ensures that LAS is compliant and consistent with government stakeholder needs. Prior to joining LAS, Sheldon served as a regional technical embassy liaison overseas, as a division leader in Software Development Access Operations, and as a program manager in the intelligence community. Prior to 2008, Sheldon worked as a senior manager for strategic planning and marketing at E.K. Fox, at PricewaterhouseCoopers on process improvement, and as a senior engineer with the Harris Corporation. Sheldon graduated from Kettering University with a bachelor of science degree in manufacturing engineering. She holds a master of science degree in information technology from Rochester Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland.
