Advanced Design Thinking Workshop: Storytelling

Nov 7 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Advanced Design Thinking Workshop: Storytelling

SPEAKER:

Byungsoo Kim and Sharon Joines

ABSTRACT:

Engagement during dissemination of project finding is a persistent challenge for presenters of technical information. Understanding the needs of the intended audience and skills for engagement can elevate professional presentations. Based on feedback from the LAS design thinking short course participants, an “Advanced Storytelling” workshop is being offered at November 7th WRM. The workshop will differentiate the use of storytelling from story-boarding in traditional presentations. Using the storytelling principles discussed in the workshop, LAS specific refined presentations/examples will be shared. Audience members will have the opportunity to engage in a skill building activity and critique.
