Tradecraft Mapping with the Analytic Component System

Abstract β€“

The Analytic Component System (ACS) is a functional abstraction language for describing analysis. Workflows mapped using this single lexicon can be easily compared even though the underlying analysis may be very different. Attendees will become familiar with the scope and purpose of ACS as well as how to use ACS to map analytic workflows through both examples and practice. For LAS performers, mapping the tradecraft and workflows that they develop using ACS will aid in better understanding commonalities and differences between analytic tasks.

LAS aims to bring together a multi-disciplinary group of academic, industry, and government researchers, analysts and managers together to re-engineer the intelligence analysis process to promote predictive analysis. LAS will do this by conducting both classified and unclassified research in a variety of areas of research. The research done in this area will serve as the foundation for mission effects and integrated back into the enterprise.
